Assembly for measuring of nonstraightness of cylinder passages

This measuring assembly (photo 1) is intended for measurement of a nonstraightness of cylinders of diverse diameters from 32 to 200 mm. At the assembly a measurement of a running nonstraightness is performed, on the basis of which a complete nonstraightness of the cylinder is calculated.

The measuring assembly consists of a support bed on which a controlled cylinder with a possibility of rotation around an axis and longitudinal movement along the bed is installed. The second part of the measuring assembly is a drive of the measuring head consisting of a metal box on racks in which a bar with the measuring head joined to her moves to a distance which is adjusted by the operator. Both parts are connected through a little table on which a pipe for the parking of the measuring head is established (photo 2).

Positions of the bar: “parking”, “beginning of measurement”, “end of measurement” are fixed by sensors which issue signals to the drive of the automatic equipment and also to the computer. The position “end of measurement” can be easily changed by the operator through a simple movement of a signal flag along the bar depending on the length of the controlled cylinder. Besides that the bar drive is supplied with a adjustable friction clutch for restriction of the effort of the head movement along the cylinder for the purpose of protection of the head and the cylinder against mechanical damages.
